The Gospel in John Chapter 2

Sin results in a corruption that runs deep into the fabric of humanity. Through this corruption and denial of God we are faced with death. Our overt rebellion toward God causes a corruption that drives us away from life and toward death.

Thank You for the Rain

This means that praying for a miracle could take away from God’s plan of demonstrating his goodness to us. This is not to say God couldn’t work in another way but as CS Lewis says in the problem of pain “Pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world”.

Don’t Judge Me!

“Judge not” is a phrase that has rendered many Christians silent for fear of looking hypocritical or worse, fear that God will judge them more harshly based on that rebuke.

Freed from Condemnation
